Ferric Ammonium Citrate is a dietary supplement used to treat iron deficiency anemia. It is a form of iron that is easily absorbed by the body. Cyanocobalamin is a form of vitamin B ₁₂ used to treat and prevent vitamin B ₁₂ deficiency. Pyridoxine, is a form of vitamin B₆ found commonly in food and used as a dietary supplement. As a supplement it is used to treat and prevention of vitamin B6 deficiency and for the prophylaxis of Isoniazid-induced peripheral neuropathy. It is also approved by Health Canada for the treatment of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy in a combination product with Doxylamine. Nicotinamide is a form of vitamin B₃ used to prevent vitamin B3 deficiency and related conditions such as pellagra. It is also used for acne, diabetes, cancer, osteoarthritis, aging skin, skin discoloration, and many other conditions. Scientists in Japan and the US have found that Nicotinamide may help treat pregnant women who suffer from preeclampsia. Ascorbic Acid (vit.c) is in a class of medications called antioxidants. It is needed by the body to help wounds heal, to enhance the absorption of iron from plant foods, and to support the immune system. Zinc is a naturally occurring mineral. Zinc is important for growth and for the development and health of body tissues. Zinc sulfate is used to treat and to prevent zinc deficiency and it also helps in the immune system function. Zincofer Liquid is indcated in treatment of Iron deficiency and Iron deficiency anaemia, prevention of Iron deficiency before, during and after pregnancy, during the second and third trimester of pregnancy for prophylaxis against Iron deficiency and megaloblastic anaemia.
