Ofloxacin is a quinolone antibiotic useful for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections. Ofloxacin is used to treat certain infections including pneumonia, cellulitis, urinary tract infections, prostatitis, plague, and certain types of infectious diarrhea. Other uses, along with other medications, include treating multidrug resistant tuberculosis. Ornidazole belongs to a class of antibacterial medications called 'nitroimidazoles' primarily used to treat infections caused by protozoans & bacteria. It is used to treat amoebiasis, chlamydiosis, giardia infection, trichomonas infection, vaginal, urinary tract, intestinal and post-operative infections. Ofloxacin+Ornidazole is a combination medicine is used in adult patients to treat diarrhoea due to mixed infections.
